Fluminense prepares offensive without Zubeldía toward 2026

Fluminense faces Palmeiras under interim manager Marcão, with tactical adjustments in view of major stakes.

Fluminense plays Saturday its first match without Luis Zubeldía, replaced by interim coach Marcão at the Maracanã against Palmeiras. The Brazilian club, fourth with 35 points, is going through a winless crisis since the resumption of the post-World Cup Brasileirão. Marcão will preserve Thiago Silva for the Libertadores round of 16 on Tuesday, while reintegrating Ganso in midfield. This critical period tests the foundations of the Rio project on its way to the 2026 World Cup.
