Infantino Abandons World Cup Stake Sale Project

Gianni Infantino has officially rejected his initiative to sell stakes in the 2026 World Cup. The FIFA president had proposed this additional monetization project, which aimed to generate extra revenue for the global governing body. However, the majority of national federations expressed categorical refusal. This reversal comes before the tournament that will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
