James Trafford joins Leeds for 2026 World Cup

James Trafford, 23, has signed with Leeds United for £45 million, becoming the most expensive goalkeeper in English football history. The keeper was a substitute at Manchester City but is among Thomas Tuchel's selected players for the 2026 World Cup in North America. Trained at City and having played at Burnley where he excelled in the Championship, Trafford now aims for regular playing time in the Premier League before the World Cup.
