FIFA announced on Saturday that it had overseen more than 53 million posts and comments on social media during the 2026 World Cup. The global governing body removed 7 million messages deemed offensive, a figure 14 times higher than deletions made during the Qatari edition. This escalation reflects the increased scale of digital exchanges and strengthened moderation efforts to maintain a respectful environment during the competition.
