During the third matchday of the CAN U17 qualifiers, Algeria lost to Senegal 2-1. The young Fennecs had hoped to secure direct qualification for the quarterfinals and the world championship in their category, but this defeat seriously compromises their ambitions. The Algerian team will now have to rely on other results to learn its fate in Group D.
