Memphis Depay uncertain for the Libertadores, doubts before 2026

Memphis Depay has still not signed his contract renewal with Corinthians, threatening his participation in the first leg of the Libertadores quarter-final against Rosario Central in Argentina. The club's management justifies the delay by citing complex financial and legal issues, while the coaching staff awaits his regularization before fielding him. This situation also affects the Dutchman's preparation ahead of the 2026 World Cup in the United States. Uncertainty persists regarding his presence in the travelling squad scheduled for Tuesday.
