Rodri in play: Real Madrid and Manchester City in negotiations

Real Madrid is continuing discussions with Manchester City to recruit Rodri, the excellent Spanish defensive midfielder who shone at the 2026 World Cup. The English club is demanding 75 million euros, while the Madrid board is proposing a ceiling of 50 million. Real Madrid is exploring solutions with performance bonuses to bring the positions closer together. Rodri's contractual situation, tied to City until June 2027 and with no extension agreement, could facilitate negotiations.
