Vladimir Petkovic retains his position as head of Algeria

Following Algeria's elimination during the qualifying phase of the 2026 World Cup, Vladimir Petkovic had initially considered his departure. According to Algerian Radio, the Algerian Football Federation has changed its mind and granted confidence to the Swiss coach to continue his mandate. This decision puts an end to recent speculation about Petkovic's future at the helm of the Greens. The FAF thus favors the continuity of the technical project.
