Thomas Tuchel has brought Trent Alexander-Arnold back into the Nations League squad for 2026 World Cup qualifiers, although the right-back has shown mixed results at Real Madrid. Since arriving in Spain, Alexander-Arnold has played just two La Liga matches without impressing. Tuchel has promised to reposition him at his natural defensive role. This call-up rests on shaky ground given his actual contribution since the start of the season.
